How-to Can-Bus for DRL/Reverse lights

Featured Replies

Finally will show how to eliminate error indication on CAn-Bus systems for our Skodas.

This picture is for the reverse lights, same method used for DRL ( 2010 non vrs model)

The bulb is only 5w.

Either the Led or 5w bulb blows the error will show up.

Please leave coments or any questions you may have

Is the bulb placed in some sort of holder?

I wouldn't fancy having a bare bulb getting hot that close the sound proofing :o

Good idea though and simple solution

Wouldn't it be cheapper and more efective if you used can bus led bulbs?

Yes it is, used same 5w bulb with a parking light holder normally used on the headlights, like our octavias.

It´s only 5w, your interior main light bulb is 5w the plastic cover gets hot ( if it´s on awhile) but never melted.

How long are you going to have the reverse lights on. The " carpet" sound proffing interior from my knowledge is made with polymizers material meaning makes hard to burn it, actually you need some type of flame to burn.

I do understand the worry

Good idea though and simple solution

That´s the problem, BA15 type socket LED and CAN-BUS who has them for sale.

( have this for over 6 months now)

Cheaper not really, the 5w bulb 1€ the plug off the scrapyard 1€

Soo alot cheaper and efective.
