Friends Fabia

Featured Replies

My friend has a 2008 Fabia with the 1.4tdi engine.

He also has the 3 button remote control.

Is their a way to make the windows go up/down with the remote control.

Via VCDS I tried and put the coding 00256/00258/00259 ( depending and single door active or not and its a 4 door) but the windows will not open or close.

Any info is much apreciated ;)

If you put the drivers key in the drivers door lock and turn the key as to unlock the car and hold the key in that position for a couple of seconds the windows should go down, (only the electric ones).

If you do the reverse and hold the key in the lock position for a few seconds the windows go back up

Hope that helps

I think that is the only was to lower/raise the windows without using the buttons in the car

Yeah wifes Polo is the same, don't think the Fabia has the ability to do the windows off the remote but may be wrong.

On my 2011 Fabia Greenline I can hold the lock/unlock buttons on the remote for a few seconds and all four electric windows close/open.

Fair shout looks like it does in fact work on the Fabia 2, I was led to believe it didnt! :-) happy days is a useful feature!

Works on our 60plate (2011) vRS too

Doesn't seem to work on my 59 palte Greenie but that is not to say it cannot be programmed somehow, it may just not be set up for it! Ask your dealer if it is possible. They will probably charge you a ton but it all depends on if you think the feature is worth it or not. Personally, I would pay around £50, also, £50 to get the cornering lights switched on, but no more... I would rather keep the cash until I know someone who can do it or let me know how to!

Yes that does happen using the key, but with the remote is what he wanted.

Thanks
