Delayed orders

Featured Replies

I ordered a car last October which was due for delivery in March. It is not scheduled for week 18 build at the start of May. I am trading in my current car where at the end of march I will have to pay for MOT (hoping it passes!) / Green Flag / New tax disc etc which i was not expecting to have to pay. I know Skoda themselves are offering the £300 in vouchers, but has anyone else with a very delayed Octavia had dealers offer courtesy cars until a new one arrives or offer free MOT's etc on cars that are beoing part exchanged?

thanks

I had a L&K 1.8TSI Estate on order in 2009 and my build kept getting put back and back. The felly estate I was running as an interim car after selling my other A4 eventually died, and Harrogate Skoda offered me a car to borrow until mine was ready.

However I had to insure the car and it was only a fabia, which wasn't really going to be big enough, plus there were milage restrictions put on it. I happened to come across my current A4 at Harrogate Audi and got a stonking deal on it. Ended up cancelling the Octy order with no penalty as it hadn't been built.

I ordered my VRS last september and have been told that it may be built week 18 but this is not confirmed.

I am annoyed with Skoda as this is my first Skoda have always bought VW and it will be my last Skoda.

The problem is with the supply of the diesel engine.

I have not been offered a car but will try for one now.
