fully poly bushed on the front PICTURES :D

Featured Replies

after a few weeks of bangs and rattles from the front of the car i had finally had enough this morning. phoned up awesome gti ordered powerflex front wishbone front bushes, arb bushes and a super pro dog bone mount bush.

picked them up at dinner time knowing we had a quiet afternoon in work got my car on the ramp and got started. took me about an hour to do, basically just dropped the subframe with front arms and roll bar attached. ive took a few pics not exactly step by step but you get the idea. ill try and upload them when i can find out how you use the image thing lol.

main thing is car feels very tight at front end. immediate difference felt. only thing i will say is that vibrations can be felt at idle with the uprated dog bone bush but nothing silly.

car is back to its best again and feels like new

on another note i was informed about the whiteline RARB group buy and will be buying one before the deadline on the 10th march.

pics will be up prob tomorrow for anyone interested if i can figure out what the hell i have to do. lol or if anyone could put them on for me if i fire them over on a e-mail

Upload them to somewhere like imageshack, or photobucket (much better :)) and copy and paste the [im g] image [/im g] codes in. :) If you'd rather, I can put them up instead? PM me if you do.

Do they squeak at all? Something I've heard about polybushes doing, along with making it a lot more uncomfy.

cleaned up everything before i put it all back in with grease and they were silent on way home. time will tell. and yh i remember you telling me how to do it last time but me and computers dont mix well lol ill give ya a p.m tomorrow wen ive put them on comp and if you could sort it out for me that wud be great

thanks very much

Fair enough, maybe it's when they dry out or something. :wonder:

Did I? Don't remember. :D I did a 'guide' for someone else who asked the other day, I'll PM it over, see if it's any use for you, if not then send them over and I'll stick them on for you.

Got my dig bone bush too. Fitting it tomorrow. How much u pay for it if u don't mind saying

I paid 100 for dog bone bush, front wishbone front bushes and arb bushes.

Not the console ones? Superpro do a anti lift setup that I was enquiring about as I think their better than the seat ones

Already had the ibiza cupra console bushes in it from last year. I've bin told the aftermarket console bushes are very unforgiving although never had a ride in a car with them fitted

not exactly step by step as dint have time to be messing about with lots of pics only had about an hour to do them.

ordering new drop links on monday and also doing the tracking on monday as dint get enough time. ive put the subframe back where it was and steering is straight ill just check it to make sure on monday at dinner time :D

do you think the arb ones will make much diff?

i did front and rear powerflex on my lupo gti last weekend??

TBH because i dint do them all 1 by 1 i couldnt say all i can say is that the car feels very tight at front end and is also very responsive when turning hard. hopefully another benefit wil be not having to replace them for a while now.
