Info for people needing to replace 06A 103 221 AF breather pipe.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I recently had the dreaded breather pipe issue on my 2002 Octavia Vrs. Part number 06A 103 221 AF had split (as they always do). Anyway, i didn't want it splitting again and bought the massively overpriced Awesome replacements (despite me only needing one pipe from the kit). The kit arrived and I though "jesus £75 doesn't get you much these days". Then while I was browsning ebay I came accross this.

The same thing, only seperate from the other pipe that I didnt need and hugely cheaper. I ordered one straight away. When It arrived I compared the quality the Awesome version and the quality was more or less the same (plus it didnt have the god awful Awesome logo on it). I sent the Awesome one back the next day for a refund and saved myself £50. They also sell a whole host of other silicone pipes for a very reasonable price.

Just thought i'd let you all know as when I was initially looking for this part number I didn't come accross the ebay ad above.
