Just bought an Octavia II some help please.

Hi

I have just replaced my Octavia I, with a nice Octavia II Elegance PD 2.0.(2005)

Couple of questions-

It has a Nexus navigation head unit-

Are there updated navigation CD's that are compatible with this system?

It has a TELE function button on the head unit but the guide for the Nexus only states "reserved for additional functions at a later date" is it compatible with bluetooth or do i need to get some aftermarket/upgrade bits from Skoda or elsewhere to connect phones to the system.

Ipods are non connective too i suppose?

Many thanks

Mark

The nexus is also known as the mfd2 which will pull up a few threads on here via search.

The TELE button doesnt really do much on this unit. I had a SKODA OEM bluetooth kit which interfaced with the unit but all it really does is mute the speakers and direct the phone through them. the main config/use of the BT goes through the maxidot if you have it fitted.

Re ipod you can either wire up the back of the nexus connetiions to a headphone socket (guide on the forum somewhere) or plug in a Dension ICElink which replaces your cd multichanger with an ipod connector. I preferred the dension as it also charged the ipod and you can select next track etc from the head unit.
