Silver Fabia vRS - 50k

Featured Replies

So it's time to sell the Furby :( I have relocated to London and no longer have any need for a car (so no P/X, sorry). My actual location is Muswell Hill, so for reference, it is very easy to get to as just off the M1 - it takes about 2hrs to get here from Nottingham, and 30 mins from Watford.

I have been very honest about the cars condition in the description below - mechanically it has been very sound, but cosmetically has a few external bruises that a quick trip to the spray shop would sort - unfortunetly because of my job I struggle to get time off during the week to get it sorted myself.

I am willing to sell the car for £5250 - this price reflects the condition of the car.

Overview

It has had two owners, the first a Skoda dealer, and the second, myself bought at 4k miles. A full collection of photos can be seen here http://s776.photobucket.com/albums/yy47/strictlysocial/Car/

I have tried to take photos of all scratches and bumps, so please refer to them.

Interior

Generally the interior is in a good condition with some exceptions.

Front Seats - The seats are pretty clean (considering their colour), there is a small amount of fuzzy wear - although the first time I noticed this was when paying lots of attention when writing these comments. The passenger seat does have a two small tears (see pictures) caused by a zip fastener getting caught in the fabric. I understand this is repairable. Note these small tears are not particuarly visible and have not expanded in the last couple of years they have been there.

Rear Seats - The rear seats are in exceptionally good condiftion as nobody ever sits in them!

Mats - Factory original vRS mats are included in both the front and rear. The front mats have the usual wear of a car of this age (although there are no tears worn through areas). Rear mats are in a very good condition (due to nobody sitting in the rear).

Exterior

Tyres and Alloys

The front two tyres are brand-new (only use has been the 5 miles from the garage to the house). The rear tyes still have good tread. I would suspect another 8-10k remaining. Note, the pictures shown include the old worn front-tyres. The alloys do have some general wear as appears to be the case of all Fabia vRS'. There is signs of bubbling on each of the alloys (see pictures). There are also some curbing marks.

Bodywork

Unfortunetly the car has attracted the odd bad driver which in car parks. See photos for issues, but the following main isssues have been idenfied:

- Rear Passenger - knocked in carpark - there is scratch on side of the bumper, plus some small dislodgment of the bumper.

- Side - Side Driver Door (near window) - there are stratches/paint chip

- Rear Bumper - black mark/small scratch due to somebody scraping the car (I would guess this would t-cut out) - Front Bumper (below passenger fog light) - small blue mark - I assume this again was caused by a car scraping the car

- Side - Side rear passenger - small chip on door

- Bumper top - small scratches

- Driver footwell - small exterior scratches from feet getting in/out car (expected on car this age)

I would suggest that most are fairly easily resolved with a quick spray, or in some cases t-cut. There are also the usual stone chips on the bonnet/front of car as you would expect.

Mechanical History

The car has been exceptional during the period I have owned it (most of it's life). Nothing out of the ordinary has gone wrong with the car, but I am happy to answer any queries you may have.

The Remap

OK, I know remaps put some people off, however this car has a Custom-Code remap (http://www.custom-code.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1590&Itemid=56) which as you will find is very smooth and not OTT which means there is no issue with the clutch - I have never experienced any clutch slip. The remap was done around 15k (I can't find the receipt at the moment to confirm exact milage).

Servicing

The first year service was undertaken at an official Skoda dealer, and all subsequent services were performed by DSB Auto - the owner/mechanic of which used to work for Skoda prior to setting up his own business (see http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/99755-dsb-autocare-bulwell-nottingham/). There is a full (non-Skoda) service history in the documentation. The last service to be performed was at 44,491 miles.

MOT

The last MOT was performed on 29th January 2011, so it has about 11 months remaining

Tax

The Tax on the car is due to expire end of August 2011 (6 months remaining) and will be sold with the car. Financee

There is NO outstandaing finance on this car. I am not looking to part-exchange this car.

Factory Fitted Extras

6-CD Changer

Photos

Here are a couple of the photos.
