4x4 UPRATED CLUTCHES - URGENT !!!!

Featured Replies

My clutch apears to be on its last legs & I need to get a new one quickly, does anyone know a supplier who does an uprated clutch for the 4x4 or a better one from the Audi/vw range that will fit

I think any 1.8T uprated clutch will fit. You will most likely need a new dual mass flywheel at the same time. Bengie got his setup from IP I believe, I think Stealth also do one and most likely Jabba. I think alot of the IHI guys run a sachs clutch with a VR6 flywheel. Changing the flywheel will also let the engine rev quicker.

Whereabouts in the country are you as that may help with recommendations?

Yep..IP do an uprated clutch with a single mass fly wheel....approx

Unfortunately takes more than a day & the jury is still out on that one. Present plan might mean selling the 4x4 mid year so no point throwing another 4500 at it (1000 on transmission)

Yeah I know, I'm also undecided if a big turbo is the way to go.

yep indeedy i have the IP setup on mine, drives like standard but with a stronger bite and a bit more of a kick due to the single mass flywheel, less spongey.

worth it, it all fits easy(according to Mr.Mechanic) and is the same for all 1.8T as said already
