Has anyone used the tyre foam that you can get to put in new tyres to prevent punctures?

Also any information and links would be helpful.

A workmate who's a serious biker recommended some tyre sealant called "Slime" to me as we have a slow puncture in the wife's front drivers side tyre. Got some and gonna pop it in over the weekend so will try and remember to keep this thread updated with the results. Apparently he's been using it for years on his motorbikes.
