no sound from radio

Hi, last night on my way home I was listening music from my desire via audio socket, when finished I pulled the cable out of the phone and there was a loud crack through the speakers. Today jumped in the car put the radio on and there is no sound. Any idea if that could be just a fuse or is it something more serious like amp?
