Octavia vRS, rumors

Featured Replies

Just a quick one it's spelt rumours pal

Depends where you come from, the English spelling is 'rumour', but the US spelling is 'rumor'. As the guy who started the thread isn't from the UK, I don't we've got any right to tell him which version he should be using ;)

Didn't you ask the dealer what this meant?! I also don't get how you can get a MY 2012 car in Aug 2011. A 2012 version car would be a model year 2012 car but that doesn't necessarily mean that there is any difference to the MY 2011 car. Possible that some switch gear or trim is updated though, and as they've already done the facelift then that rules serious cosmetic changes out.

Yes I did ask. Just to clarify, I don't mean a 2012 reg but a 2012 model as you described. Apparently (the dealer explained), manufacturers bring out the X year model approx. 6 months before year X. He didn't give any specific details other than saying it would be the 2012 model.

I hope you're correct in the cosmetics dept, If it was drastically changed, I might not like it!

But we gave them the language. :giggle:

Picked up the 2012 model today. Same badge, no cosmetic differences. Although later on in the year they will start getting the new skoda badge/logo (info from dealer).

sadly not, but a guy can dream, lol. I reckon after this Octy Im going to get a cheap little diesel runaround for every day, and a weekend car for when I fancy some poke :-D

Mk1 Fabia VRS it is then why not have fun during the week too

funny you should say that, thats what I had been thinking, VRS fab through the week, GTR for the weekends! emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Have a look at this, does not mention VRS!

Nevertheless I think it looks ok, but the rear 3/4 angle pic is just Exeo ST to me. I want some easily discernible differences.
