what size alloy wheels

Featured Replies

What specific size would be required to swap 16 inch steels to alloys ??, fed up of wheel trims being stolen

From memory they are:

7"x16" (7"x17" on some cars)

ET38

5x112 PCD

with a 57.1mm centre bore

The VW Passat B5.5 will probably use identical sizes as well.

I have a Skoda wheels brochure from January 2005. The sizes listed for the Superb are

  • 7Jx17 ET37 for 225/45 tyres
  • 7Jx16 ET37 for 205/55 tyres
  • 6jx16 ET37 also for 205/55 tyres, this being the size to use with snow chains

It's worth knowing, using Camskill as an example for a source of information, that there are a greater range of tyres for the 16" wheels and the same tyres tend to be cheaper in smaller sizes.
