oh ball bags!!!

I'm not sure that's entirely true Tom - last time I looked GAZ claimed they'd happily make coilovers for just about anything. Of course whether it would cost more than a whole Felicia to do so is another matter...

yeah gaz will make custom ones for about £1500... quids in

there are a few different posibilities though. i'm going to be cobbling something together some bits and pieces in the near future.

AVO make some as well don't they? Plus you used to be able to get HP stuff easy enough, most CZ companies I've dealt with are helpful and efficient.

yeah the hp sporting stuff is quite good according to the reports i've heard from folks, but they are a bugger to get hold of in the uk now that butts don't do them any more

could be a line for Mr Jorily to think about?

According to this:

He'd already done so - dunno if there was any progress...

I had HP stuff on my first and second rally cars - the "sporting" set with the ali bodies; they were pretty good, but not as good as the bilstein stuff I replaced them with - probably be just as easy/cost effective to get the right bilstein insert and a strut body/top mount made up to suit

I gather it's fairly straightforward to order stuff from Speedpro who are one supplier, but a set of HPs is around £430 new (even by the price on HP's own site) plus however much to ship them from CZ pushing that towards the £500 mark. Still not particularly economical compared to what you can get for VWs/Fords/etc.

AVO list the Favorit/Felicia application in their catalogue but seemingly only for one end and without a price. Since they do custom stuff too, they might be worth investigating but judging by the rest of the range it's likely to be £550+.

if i remember correctly. dcperformance do two types of kits? they also do lowering springs aswell.

why not just lowerings springs, new standard front dampers and front and rear anti-roll bars with some poly bushings.

that would be more than enough to keep the car flatish in the corners

also Koni do front dampers for felicia but at £87 each thats still not a cheap option, £87x2 and £86 for springs(on ebay) still £260 before you sort out front bushings and anti-roll bars. i wouldn't worry about rear end to much, and most of the cornering forces are on the front, just be aware enhancing the front will lead to more understeer,

but having poly bushed and anti-roll barred the rear of my corsa and left the front standard, trust that understeer in small hatchbacks is better than lift off oversteer. it wasn't controllable oversteer either like i used to get in my Focus RS170,

the dampers that koni do are only inserts, it is not a complete damper body, you have to do a cut and shut on the original damper

also you'd be very hard pushed to find any poly bushings that fit a felicia, remember we've all been there before! i'd suggest doing a little research
