Featured Replies

Hi,

just rang up for a quote was told as the car is an 06 plate and a BLT engine, that there is no other turbo other than a KKK which can fit on there. :wonder:

From the horses mouth.....so this is true i assume?

I'm stuck with a KKK for life!

I hope they are wrong too!

something sounds odd there?

didnt TD recently stop exchanging turbos?

My 2009 (but built 2007) VRS SE is currently at Jabbasport having a Garrett Turbo.

hmmm.. Gentleman i spoke to had an American twang. Don't think i will go turbo technics route now...

well ive had mine on for over a year now and its sound the part number is S211

or J/C21493 or S/N 9F02X thats for the pd150 hybrid £977.50 it cost me june 2009

I hope not either, I don't want to be stuck with a KKK on the car either...

Yer they will tell you that but they are identical and will fit, i had a turbo technics turbo which was a garrett on mine and i have a BLT engine!

Few questions here:

What turbo did you order? A PD130 garrett, or a PD150 garrett?

Did it bolt straight on, including the EGR valve pipe? (I've read this is different on the BLT engine).

If you don't me asking, how much did you pay, and was it part of an exchange for your KKK PD130 turbo?

They're wrong but remember it's more than likely just a call-centre agent who doesn't know what they're talking about reading from a file. :)

you can fit a garret pd130 on blt engine as i have one on my fabia

Did this fit straight on without deleting your EGR?

Sure it wasnt south African? That bloke hasnt a clue, its a bit pot luck there, sometimes they have there head screwed on, sometimes they aint got a clue.

Are you going to ask if every type of turbo fits with a egr in as many different posts as possible?

Matt

I'm just trying to find what uprated/more reliable turbo would fit my BLT engine without deleting the EGR valve, and up until now, I haven't had any definite answers.... :S

What turbo you after? I`m sure jason said in the other thread that 150`s will go on no problem. They all have egr delete in the same place i think anyway

Matt

I don't want another KKK turbo, so I want to go for either a Garrett PD130 or PD150 turbo, or a hybrid variant of either.

Basically, I want a more reliable turbo that will 100% bolt straight on to my BLT without changing anything else.

Jason said he wasn't 100% positive that the EGR would mate up, that why I need definite and positive answers.

yes it will fit on without deleting egr but a few alterations need to be made im sure but it does fit and still keeps egr

What kind of alterations need to be made?
