Advice please- new or used?

Featured Replies

SWMBO has now decided that she wants to pass her Yaris on to number one daughter and get another car.

Her first choice is latest gen Yaris, which I think isnt nearly as good as 1st gen Yaris.

I am trying to persuade her to get a Fabia- budget is about £9k tops, but with no trade in, so new Yaris is out of the question.

Welcome advice re should we go for late model, low milage SE or Elegance (want to have air con, and I would like cruise control, but not essential) or should I go for a new S + cruise option, or SE if price is right? Unlikely to want to commit to ordering until well in to April so current VAT free may well not be around.

SWMBOs car currently does around 12k miles a year- mix of local communting and 100 mile dual carraigeway/motorway round trip 1-2 times a week to support aging parents

Thanks

I personally would look at a 1.2 TSi, either power variant in SE or Elegance spec. They should be fairly easy to source nearly new.

I'd avoid the S, spec is very crude on the Fabia, for the cost difference much better off with an SE.
