DPF is a result of having to meet later emission laws that were not in effect when the mk1 was made.

The Mark 1 fabia does not have a DPF. It still has a oxidising catalyst.

I thing the law about DPFs came in force in 2007, so all mk 2 Diesel Fabias have them, not mk1s.

Not all Mark Two's my 1.4TDI does not have a DPF think it's the greenline's that have a DPF.
