Heated windscreen cracked!

Half an hour ago...

Well, my first Yeti windscreen gone in january on the spouse 1.2 Yeti,

and now 1.4 windscreen is gone (truck in opposite direction throw a little rock).

First one was gone in NY evening, and now again its not my fault

Its 1cm in diameter, and Im worried beacuse its heated windscreen, will a filling a gap with liqiud glass

would still make a windscreen heatable ???

Not another one!

If it can be repaired it will still work (so said the Autoglass fitter who changed mine)

Twice is bad luck butGood luck with repair. Do Autoglass cover Serbia?

Crack was filled today in Glass Service (yes we have glass service network in Serbia).

They suggested me to replace the windshield, but I was for the reparation altought they warned me crack will still be noticable, but without a chance of spreading.

Reparation Cost was 15 EUR.

UPDATE:

TOday the heated windshield cracked 1m from filled spot, during the driving :(

Waiting for Skoda dealer to call me for the price of new one..

Does your insurance not cover windscreen damage and replacement? Usually you have an excess to pay but doesnt affect your no claims.

Most of us in the UK who have had cracked screens have had them replaced by insurance after paying the excess.

Over here car insurance doesnt include cracked windshields by default, but You can ask for it during yearly registration, for a small fee. I didnt think about that, but on the next registration I will.
