rear window blind

Featured Replies

Can anyone explain to me what is the difference between the rear window blind you can buy as an option from the factory and the one showing in the Octavia accessories brochure. Are they the same. How does the dealer supplied option fit to the car?

Some pictures of these blinds in place would be nice thanks.

I'm sure they are the same

On my factory fitted one it is screwed to the parcel shelf. There then two clips located on the top crossrail of the hatch above the glass.

As a separate point -- Having had one I would not order it again, my car has auto dimming mirror which will not work if the blind is up so consequently I very rarely use it.

IMO a waste of money although I ended up not paying for it, garage forgot to put it on the invoiceemoticon-0104-surprised.gif

I have had the rear blind in all three vRS's and I wouldn't be without it. Essential with children in the back. Personally I think the auto dim rear view mirror is a waste of money as it isn't necessary with the blind up.

Mines fitted as per powermalcs. Unsure when I will use it though as dont have kids

What is the connection between having the blind and having children in the back?

Not sure lol, just whenever see them in the past there has been kids in the back lol

Keeps them out of the sun if its coming in through the rear window. The blind also prevents anyone seeing in too.
