octy vrs dpf aaarrgghh!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

looking for some help.......or a match and a can of fuel!!

i have a 2006 octavia tdi vrs 170bhp which has become troublesome to say the least. the car cut out the other day in a very awkward place! after recovery to a local specialist it was diagnosed as injector fault. had to replace one injector (£464.00 for part!!), car fixed yay! picked it up noticed chatter from flywheel, boo!

dpf light coming on every 100 miles ish now. have arranged to get dpf removed and ecu remapped to avoid this, however, last night i could not regen and extinguish light, then exhuast gas light and eml flashing light on with lack of power. checked handbook, says goto dealer.....not a lot of use at 6pm on a sat night!

having had to carry on, car just then cut out and wont restart. hoping just a code reset and a good run might be enough, hope its not another injector :'(

anybody got any ideas????

chris

Maybe an air pressure sensor fault, or glow plug system. The only time mine went into limp mode was found to be a failed sensor.

Hello and welcome btw. I would also suggest a search in the Octavia Mk2 section, should help find all the info you'll ever need.
