Carphone Warehouse

Featured Replies

Looking at leaving my current contract when it expires in May and looking around seen a nice enough deal (better than I have now really) on the Carphone Warehouse site, complete with free gift.

So has anyone here used them for their contract?, what they like for customer service?, are there any catches? etc etc etc

The free gifts arent 'free'. You get a worse deal on minutes/bundles and pay more for it, thus covering the gifts cost.

Carphonewarehouse are ok as almost all handsets unlocked, but you get better deals going direct to a networks store these days.

Yeah did notice that the 'gifts' appear slightly covered for in price of deal, but still for about £1.50 more than I pay at the moment I'll end up getting more mins than I get on my existing phone contract. So appears to me that it's a relatively cheap way of getting said gift.

used carphonewarehouse for the last couple of years and found the service pretty good. Had a blackberry go tits up and they lent me another phone whilst it was away being repaired

What network, package and handset are you looking at?

Are you flexible on any of these?

I was with them about 6 years ago and never will I be again!!

I found their counter and phone service terrible. Constantly having the bill messed up with weird £20+ phone calls appearing. I had made the calls but only for a few minutes and they should have been included in the free minutes but somehow got charged at stupid high ammounts!
