Fitting Fabia Mudflaps

Featured Replies

Stupid question this, but here goes:

Picked up some front flaps for the vRS this morning. Fitted them with the Torx screws then goto Step 4 on the packet instructions. I can't work out what to do with the small plastic flap on the mudflap itself or the metal clip and plastic housing you're given with in the packet.

What am failing to see here? It's probably me, but I didn't find the instruction pictures that helpful...

Cheers :o

The plastic flap on the mudflap itsself tucks around the lip of the arch, so that the metal clip that holds the mudflap on doesn't scrape the paint of the arch lip. Then you just squeeze the metal clip and its plastic holder together, and they grip the arch lip and hold the flap in place. Probably need pliers or grips tosqueeze them together though, careful you don't slip and scratch your paint!

OK, thanks. I'll give that a go.
