dpf removal on vrs 170 cr.is it diy

Featured Replies

going to remove the dpf on a 58 plate 170cr.

wondering how it comes off.is it an easy job.

when its done i will get it mapped to erase the fault code.

thanks

Not an easy job, you have to dismantle quite a lot of the RHS of the car to get it off. I wouldn't like to do it without a ramp.

Pay the man to do it properly

its ok i will find out the hard way,or it might end up the easy way.doing it myself regardless.just trying to get a headstart.

i will be splitting the dpf, removing the insides then welding it back up.mapping out the fault codes.then replacing it so it looks standard.

there is no mystery about that.just wanted to know if there were any short cuts as i have never done one of these before.

i am doing it out of neccesity as the dpf has well over the allowed contamination level.meaning a regeneration wont work.

Forced regen from the dealer then??

Ben is a professional see him or other companies. Rather pay a little extra for it to be perfect
