No side strips!

Featured Replies

Just been looking at cars for sale and have realised that the mk1 vrs came with bump strips on the doors..

But I don't have them. Tbh I would have removed them anyway but was wondering was it an option not to have them as i can see no evidence of any. She is a very late registered 05 plate with only 48k on her with 2 previous owners and ( was ) completely standard.

Just curious really.

Mmmmhhh curious. Are they just held on by glue?

Last owner was a female and it's had nothing but skoda dealer work since new.

No held on with very strong double sided tape. Not something that could be easily pulled off. It would require a tool to remove the sticky residue

Oh well. Someone must have not wanted them on and did a perfect job of taking them off. The paint is perfect there.

Saved me the hassle of doing it....

yeh want to do mine but don't want to risk pulling paint off.

I removed mine, use a heat gun and plenty of autoglym tar remover. Once polished you can't tell any difference with the paint work

You won't just use heat gun and some cleaner Lighter fluid works great....then just buff it and you will never know.the silver looks good with them off too
