An interesting letter about subject of premature clutch wear in Fabias was in the Daily Telegraph Honest John column of 26 February. Honest John states it is a problem with Volkswagen Group clutches. It seems that the automatic adjustment is *too* efficient and leads to drag. The one error he makes ( prbably a slip) is to refer to the cable wherreas the Fabia mechanism is hydraulic. It seems from all this that it is a known problem so why does the VAG Group do nothing about it? As the old saying goes: there's non so blind as those who will not see. I bet most bought the cars as being reliable and trouble free. I t won't take long to lose the reputation imo.
