hi my 2005 superb has the big satnag/stero fitted to the centre console, is there a tv option for this car ? if so what bit do i need to make it work if its at all possible?

A tv tuning box that came as an optional extra i think when sat nav was originally ordered..sits underneath the cd player in a recess in the boot. But tbh, its a rare item and prbably expensive to get up and running. Dealer will know what is required, then you can get an idea of the expense....hope that helps

You need to see what connections are on the back, if you have RGB ports you can hook any aftermarket tv tuner in, Baker21 did something to his to hook a Playstation to to, so there must be something on the back input wise.

but if they are available - from anywhere - given the age of the model when it was introduced, won't they probably be analogue not digital...

You use to be able to get a connecter from Deitz to plug into the back of the satnav to allow RGB connection (The socket on the back looks like a din connector but isn't) so it could be used for a digi box, playstation etc. Maybe you could find something on google or ebay.

That loos like what I have on my Superb which only does audio. The one that does video has three RCA sockets.

I have a Dietz unit in mine, it's a Dietz 1212 if my memory serves. Rarer than rock horse droppings tho. I paid £50 from some dude in germany. Great when hooked up to a video source (excellent sound) but... quite distracting if u wire it up to play whilst moving. And Mr plod would'nt be happy if they stopped you. Might be interested in selling if i get a good offer.
