Pickup load covers

Featured Replies

Hi,

Did the original Skoda/VW load covers need fittings drilled in or did they use the C-channel under the hocky sticks?

Cheers

Alex

do you mean the load liner? they just sit in place with no fixings

Nah, got one of them (£25 ebay, cut to fit Fun)

The toneau thingy, like you got the other week. Found someone selling an 'original' VW Caddy Mk 2 cover, but they're not overly helpful...so I thought I'd ask here ;-)

ah yes, i must admit i've never seen a genuine skoda tonneau cover, but there's a fellow on here with the user name morrispaul who has one, i expect he will pop along and give you an answer soon enough.. or just pop him a pm... legend

i bought a skoda tonneau cover late last year,£90 if my memorys right,if you look at ...pauls pick-up pictures... you`ll see it.....slightly different to teflontoms.the cover comes with 14 push in hoops that push into the side of the plastic hockey sticks it also slides into the c channel on the back of the cab,you will have to drill two 3mm holes for each hoop (looks like a giant staple)i was lucky as mine already fitted.i made a couple of box section steel cross rails to support the cover when it rains and to stop it streching, these were included in the price of toms....i`ll add some more pictures soon

just spotted on ebay, new skoda cover with some excellent pictures,£38 at moment with £8 postage and 4 days to go....item number 170616023652....some early bids so will probably do quite well......£90 new from skoda

Thanks guys. I was kinda looking for something that would go in the c-channels down the sides,. There aren't any across the back of the Fun cab. I was thinking of how to make one for the Fun by taking an original (if it went in the channels) and adapting it from there to fit.

Just thinking aloud here: maybe a board secured to the loops for the Truckman instead.....complete with a locking tailgate (I still have the "boot switch" on the remote) hmmmmm

Hi guys - am after one of these myself - let me know if there are any out there please!
