Is there an alternative way of getting the chrome girll surround off?

Featured Replies

Hi all.

This evening I decided to take the chrome grill off and get it ready for wrapping with black glossy wrap.

I got all but 1 of the torx screws off. The last one's threads were non-existant and am not sure why :S

Anyways, is there any other way of getting the surround off without taking the complete grill off or would you have any ideas as to how I could go about getting the last torx screw out?

Cheers,

J

You have chrome girl? Bet she sparkles at the disco

If u can get a small flat head screwdriver push it under the head of the screw and as u undo the screw apply some pressure with the other screwdriver.

Torx screw.... First off, make sure the thread is knackered and that it's not the head of the screw filling with muck. Otherwise, cut a slot across the top of the torx head with a dremel and carefully use a flat bladed screwdriver to remove.
