Guys, anyone know if the coil overs for the mk1 Leon Cupra are the same ad the vrs???

Reason I ask is I'm taking a Cupra in part ex tomoz and it has nearly new coil overs and top mounts on it. Thinking about swapping the suspension with the vrs.

That wont be much of an issue if at all

due to the damping rates will be matched to the srping rates and as they are coilovers you will be able to drop it a bit more to make up for the stiffer springs.

But there wont be much differnece

Well just got home withe the Cupra and the handling is amazing compared to the vrs so i think she'll be donating her coil overs to a better cause lol

Dont really rate the VRS's suspension set up anyway, its far too soft and quiet wallowey compare to other cars

Im not a Vauxhall fan at all but the suspension on the standard SRi is far better than the Octy, best thing you could to to a VRS is throw the old stuff away and fit new, makes a massive difference

Yes they are the same as I have them fitted.

only difference is the cupra poundage is stiffer 1040kg versas VRS at 1000kg front and rear.

Just meant you will confirm the cupra kit is different to the vrs kit, though works on your setup

I know bud now get back to class....

I am selling my weitecs and going for something harder( i know mad) like KW V2's or SpaxRSX, any one fanny some weitecs or a swap......

You wont regret it, the v2s are nice, cant comment on the spax as you know but they look good on paper!

Will keep an eagle eye out for k2s for you!
