Is there anyone in Sutton/Wimbledon area that knows how to decrease the assistance on my power steering, or do I need to take it to a main dealer?

It's proving a bit light for me.

It can be done with vagcom

So if I buy a vagcom can I do it myself? Is it just software with a special cable? Sounds like it could be useful.

Can this be done on all VAG cars? Or just some?

Is a good place to start. I find VAGCOM pretty confusing, but that might help explain what's needed (different versions and prices). Or, the 'owners map' might be of use to find people near you who will do it for a couple of beer tokens. . .

Can also change other stuff like alarm sound, beeping of alarm when unlocking, anti-hijack doors and a few other things.

Had mine done last year by Jason, made a difference, might go a bit heavier still though as its still too light for me!
