Newbie who needs help!

Featured Replies

hello to all im a newbie in hampshire. i confess now im not a skoda owner but my brother is, he has a lovely fabia vrs in silver, completely standard and drives/drove fantastic. i borrowed his car to get to work the last week . . . . after my 12 hour night shift and many arguments with the boss i was in a foul mood and leaving work to head home. i got about 200 yards from work until i aggressivly threw the car into a sharp corner and spun it! his car is now at a friends locl garage and in need of, rear axle beam, a disk, possibly a caliper and 2 wheels! i cant find any fabia vrs breaking or any parts, can anyone help?

i was wondering if the rear axle beam is the same on any vw's or seats!

i was quoted about £1500 to fix it with new parts . . . . . im desperately trying to avoid that number by finding used parts! thanks for reading jonny

Welcome to Briskoda albeit in unfortunate circumstances.

I'm sure you don't need a lecture or a soap box rant about state of mind whilst driving......so I'll leave it there

Keep an eye on the FOR SALE forum here on Briskoda. Fabia vRS parts come up frequently. It may be worth you posting in the WANTED section to broaden your appeal.

Get in touch with SkoSpares(based in Bournemouth) and see what they have. They are currently dismantling plenty of fabia's and can likely advise whether they share the same rear beam or not as the vRS
