Unlocking boot door

Featured Replies

Any ideas how this guy managed to fully open the boot door via the remote?

Probably a home conversion... A solenoid to release the boot catch and then different gas struts, from a car with a much heavier hatch (superb?), which then simply force the boot open... I guess there's no videos of the shutting automatically...?

Ok got some more info from this vid. I think some spring action is needed to help it raise but not sure if it needs new struts.

Hmm, sprung bump stops... what will they think of next. The kit certainly shows struts, so I'm guessing they are uprated... it's surprising just how much work the struts actually do... hatches aren't light. Looks good though, but it needs the variable opening height as per the Superb ;)
