I keep looking at alloy wheels for my vrs!! (DRIVING WIFE MAD) My 19yr old son took his 18" RS8 wheels off his bora and put the 16" stand alloys back on last weekend then went out. ( I was servicing the vrs) while he was gone I took them and fitted them to my VRS. He came back and caught me half way though putting them on!! lol. Anyway fitted them took car for a spin. straight away, harder ride, noisey, didnt drive nice for me.

(my sons bora tdi 130 highline)my vrs

so thought would re-furb the 16" spiders. been quoted £40 per wheel plus vat ( acid bath, powder coated etc ) which I didnt think was a bad price.

or find some 17" spiders some where!!

Was at work today a lad I know has offered me some 17"leon cupra alloys, so tried one on the front

What I would like to know is what you all think!! lol

he wants £200 for them, 2 need tyres, and could do with a re-furb

or stuck to the spiders !! lol

keep the spiders they look the best imo on the vrs

if they were grey and 18" i would say keep em but they dont look right in silver

16's are painfully small in my opinion.

Hold out for 17" spiders m8 or get some OZ Superleggeras

I think they look good, but so do the spyders

so if they are in need of a refurb why bother - £360 for LCR alloys when refurbished as opposed to £160 for the spyders

could always try and sell the spyders

I thought LCR alloys were 18 inchers, to clear the Brembo 4 pots and larger discs?

As with most of the above, for some reason they don't look right on that car. Maybe look out for some 17" spiders?

The Ibiza wheels are different, curved spokes, different offset and the centres aren't the same.

Euro LCRs didn't have 18s they were 17s which were later fitted to the Leon FR+

Both 17 and 18 will fit the LCR brakes which makes them very valuable even if they need a refurb so if they are cheap so I'd grab em.

I had my spare Spider on the Missus's Cupra R for a couple of days when we had a pair of punctures. Fitted just fine.

vRS spiders won't normally fit over Brembos, did you have it on the front of the LCR????

Just looks wrong. The 17's came on the tdi leon cupra with the r body kit. Theres not many wheels that look as good as the spiders in 17's.
