Help specing a new Fabia (possibly a Monte)

Featured Replies

Hi, first post so please be kind!

Like the look of the Monte Carlo but was worried that with the 17' wheels and sports suspension it might be a bit of a rough ride as I live in South London with every pot hole known to man. Has anyone else had experience? I know the suspension is a bit different but any VRS owner opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello Jeff and welcome! :p

I've had my vRS since November and I've hit a fair few potholes. Good news is my alloys and tyres are still in very good condition with no chips or dents. I still get worried as you can hear a loud crash and it'll send a shock through the car, but seems to stand up quite well. I've not hit any 'craters' at over 30mph yet :dull:

Only had mine a few days but the roads by me are notorious for potholes and so far so good very well damped

Although when you go over a big one the car shakes from side to side a little and it can be a bit noisey over bumps.

It is a very comfortable setup however and the shocks arent transfered to your back or anything, so a good balance for comfort and control.

Enjoy whichever option you choose though

These potholes are crazy I know we've just gone through a terrible winter but still they are appearing and when they repair just fill in and they way they are doing it,the edges of the old tarmac will break up quicker,if every one claimed they would start to do a proper job

The Monte Carlo isn't as firm as the vRS, should be fine on the roads around here!
