How to install daytime running lights

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Skoda Octavia Vrs (2007)

I am looking to buy daytime running lights for my car i am just wondering how i set them up and wire them to my side lights

Thanks

You don't wire them to the side lights, since the idea is they are on permanently the engine is running. Don't know about your car, but I know several people who have wired them into either the ignition system or the oil pressure switch feed.

Do you think it would be possible to connect them straight to the battery and have a resistor on them and have a switch coming into the car to turn them on (so my battery doesn't go flat)

Why?

The idea is to have them come on automatically when you turn the ignition on.

Find something, like the oil pressure switch, or something that is live with the ignition and piggyback them to that.
