picked up my greenline sm first impressions

Featured Replies

hi all, picked the 1.6 greenline sm from all electric Birmingham.i dealt with paul jackson in sales who was allways very helpful thanks.

First impressions ride was slightly harder than 2L. 2wd that i road tested. but it took potholes with ease.

the stop start was a bit unnerving especially in traffic in unknown area in new car i will get used to it.

i kept the revs to a max of 2000 in any gear it was not so hard 2000 revs =65mph on speedo in 5th.I did a 230 mile

trip home 4 up with luggage cruising at 57mph mostly in cruse control 62.9 mpg on the computer i was happy with that.

it was not all motorway it took 5 hour i still felt comfortable in drivers seat.that brings me to the seat its got stretch

marks on it when i picked it up not good. the air con was very good it was hot today good test but the fan is very noisy

i turned it down soon as i could. the engine i had job keeping it below 2000 revs it seamed more frisky than 2L 110.2wd.

Glad you're enjoying it. That is some impressive mpg. Best Maxidot I have ever got is 46mpg. Sounds like you are going to have some fun. That is quite a high 5th gear. My 6th is just under 70mph in the CR140DSG.

Interested in your seat stretch mark comment - are you referring to the Elegance's leather ones? From the leather seat photos I've seen of new or nearly new Yetis, on most there appears to be rather too much stretching on the seat squabs, especially bearing in mind they are all newish cars.

This thread was raised on the subject earlier :-

I wouldn't worry about keeping the revs below 2000. Better to use the rev range freely and give the car some work to do. Shoould be better in the long run.
