Drivers Window falls straight through

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have a Fabia Elegance, recently the drivers window was making weird mechanical noises whilst being lowered and brought back up. Today it fell straight through.

I have asked a mechanic to look at it and he has said that it needs a new winder.

How much am I looking at to replace this part?

Thanks

i had problems with my passenger side window on my vrs the whole mechanism from skoda was around £140 for mine electric ect so for yours if its not electric id imagine around £80+ its the labour thats a killer.

dont take my word for it though i could be totally wrong lol

As I understand it's normally just the belt thats come off or whatever. But the best bet is to replace the whole thing, as it comes as one unit. I thought it was about £120 inc fitting.
