Just placed my order for a 1.2 TSI 105 Elegence

Elba alloys

and

Kenwood DNX 520 VBT!!!

Did consider the VRS and Monte but decided that there were too many pot holes in my area for 17' alloys with sports suspension. So instead to compensate got the Kenwood!!!

Dealer has said late June is the likley due date so fingers crossed it won't get lost in the black hole ordering system.

Can't wait for my first new car!

Sounds great now join the wait! :D

I also have one on order, see signature.

One thing I didn't like about the Kenwood is it doesn't have a rear USB port. The USB port is on the front right hand side. The guys on the VW forums have said that if you use an ipod or external HD then obviously every time you park you have to unplug and hide it, with the genuine MDI everything is hidden away. Also some have complained that because the port is on the right hand side the keep catching the memory stick / lead when they goto work the unit.

That put me off it, I just hope they bring out an update for the RNS310/Amundsen so it can cope with full postcodes.

Cheers

Lee

Yeah did see the reviews but was planning on using usb dongles mainly.

I have seen one review that said there was a micro usb at the rear that was not on the manual. Not sure how much I believe it but I will have a look.

The bluetooth and Garmin sat nav with European maps was the biggest factor for me.

Hope the update for the Amundsen comes in before you pick it up.

The Kenwood is on the Skoda Fabia and Me accessories book that will be in the showroom. It was £999 inc Vat but the dealer took the Vat off.

Car with all my options was £12,800 with the VAT off deal. I had a part exchange and used Skoda's finance as well but effectively saved around £2500 with the VAT off.
