Thanks Billy,

Good luck with yours so!

So are the caster increase bushes not necessary then??

The castor increase bushes IMO are the real reason for fitting the cast wishbones.

The caster fixing bushes only fit the cast wishbones

The bushes remove the understeer from the vehicle. Without the bushes, the understeer remains.

castor bushes ARE completely worth fitting, really helps correct issues with the front end of the car.

Its not however so much to do with correcting understeer, its more to do with correcting the caster angle which in turn allows for better turn in, more stability at speed, more tyre contact with the road in braking and acceleration etc.......You cant go wrong!

If you are fitting the TT bushes, imo you are missing a really good opportunity to improve the cars handling.

Billy there is no point putting any of this stuff on your car if you dont use it, caster is one area that will help like fitting better brakes....its not just a visual mod.

Lol its a bit like saying why buy an aston martin. Most who have one don't use it unless sun is out and then the pootle about in in and never rev it high enough to hear the wonderful music it makes.

Its goin on to say its there lol.

Agreed really I should do the lot but can't justify the cost of the superpro bush atm. One day. Plus just from puttin the cast wishbone on I've noticed a big improvement. With the hub assy I recon it will be more than enough. Only needed if you lower your car tho to bring the bones back down to level. That will remove a lot of understeer. Ill let you know next week lol.

Then for track use Ide put the caster bush in but for road I'd say leave it. Might eat my words tho will finbd out soon. Also I would say that with your setup of cast bones and std assemblies, the caster bush is more apparent. I am hoping to find a nice improvement with going to the TT assemblies.

caster should not be affected by the hub itself, these bushes get great reviews on any of the other vag sites who run the tt wishbones and matching hubs as standard.

I run the whiteline ones.

from their site

Whiteline Jim Alignment Q&A

Q: Should I try adjusting caster or camber first to improve handling?

A: Caster, and here's why:

1. Camber doesn't improve turn-in, positive caster does.

2. Camber is not good for tyre wear.

3. Camber doesn't improve directional stability.

4. Camber adversely effects braking and acceleration.

Q: Is there such a thing as too much caster?

A: No, and here's why:

1. Maximize tyre contact patch during roll.

2. Improve turn-in response.

3. Increase directional stability.

4. Maximize tyre contact patch during braking and acceleration.

5. Improved steering feel and self-center increases dynamic negative camber (on turn).

if i had an Aston by the way, i would drive it like i stole it..... B)
