Boot Catch Problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys, the boot is playing up, when you unlock via the remote or via the button on the tail gate it makes a horrible noise as if its trying to release the catch multiple times...sometimes when I shut the boot it just bounces open...any idea whats causing it?

Need to ring the dealer 2moro morning :'(

If still under warranty, I agree with you get them to repair it.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Well it seems to have fixed itself now.... :wonder:

Maybe something got caught inside thus preventing it from properly locking/unlocking.

Well its broke again....earliest I can get the car booked in is next Monday

I had a similar problem with mine when it was just a few weeks old. Nothing caught in it and within a few hours it wouldnt even stay shut yet another trip to the dealer a day off the road for repair. One of my many visits to the dealer. Think I may well have made a mistake with moving to Skodas or I have just been incredibly unlucky but then I wouldnt have found this site and learnt so much about cars and met so many great people here.

think you've been unlucky.... 5000 miles now, and no reason to see the dealer :)

edit: although if all the other vRS owners hadn't posted about oil usage, I'd be worried about the oil it uses!
