My Garmin Nuvi 205 satnav only has uk maps on it and i want to take it on holiday with us this year. I want to know can i install new uk and European maps on it or should i go out and buy another satnav with full UK and European maps already installed.

I would think you should be able to install new maps - check theGarmin website for these.

I just checked and they want $89 to download, but i can go out and buy a new satnav with uk and full European maps for £95.

I would check the amount of memory in the Garmin UK version, is it enough to hold the Europe maps?

Got caught out with a Tom Tom One UK edition quite a few years ago, paid 40 quid downloaded the Europe maps and then found it only had 256MB of memory and had to fork out for a 2GB SD card which I hadn't bargained for. Although SD cards are a lot cheaper now than they were then, but still worth checking.
