:)Hi to all that read my fist posting in introduce yourself

well i`m carl living in Swindon Wilts.... comes in handy having a vrs with the tractors down here !!! lol

not the 1st skoda i`ve owned as i had a brand new skoda favorit 135 LS sportline in burgandy when i 1st passed mt test 20 years ago and god that car got some stick dont think many cars would have put up with a young nigel mansel behind the wheel... (the days of being a new driver)lol....

Now 37 and have just brought a Y REG 01 RED OCTY VRS.... Couldn`t resist going back to the old skoda badge & so far after having it a few weeks i am quiet impressed with her (anyone else have a job stopping them though) ?

With all modern cars advice and tips is always a good thing so hope i learn from some of you guys as not really into the mechanical side of things but this one is up for a few mods so thought i best join whats good and not good i`ll learn

Wheel thats enough of my speil.... catch you all around hopefully

After dropping a wodge on the Outback for a new battery only for the tailgate issues to immediately recur and funnily enough for a internet search to suddenly (wasn't before) flag that there is a persistent and long standing Subaru issue with a parasitic battery drain via the telematics module. Basically the car continually tries to phone home and drains the battery, the tailgate control module is acutely sensitive to voltage meaning that if the car has sat for more than a day (sometime less) th

Hello, I activated Smart Link on my swing 3 radio, at Skoda Octavia mk3 MY 2018, so I want to share with everyone how it can be done. DISCLAIMER: You do it at your rensponsability, is not easy to do, and you can mess things out, possible brick you device. Do it only if you have expereince in this kind of activity. Physical tools needed: Tool for removing radio 4 pieces, just google "VAG radio removal tool", cost about 1€. CH341A Mini Programmer, cost about 10€. PC/Laptop Philips screwdriver

I have a 2014 diesel octavia estate 1.6 blk edition. Lately, and since service my mpg is alot lower than normal. I understand my car is old but recently ive noticed im using more fuel. Ive asked my usual mechanic and hes replied with the expected answer i thought hed suggest which is weather, tyres, speed, fuel prices and that mpg is never ro be trusted. Im not taking fuel prices into consideration as im seeing my fuel being used up more. Mpg today has been 34,on a route i normally use and get
