What Pads are people running in there 312's Upgrades

Featured Replies

As title really, want to know what people are running, any good? and whered you buy them from cheers

I'm using standard pads and they are hopeless, fade after 2-3 hard brakes, won't be using them again

Mintex disc and pads as suggested by people on here. They're fine, I don't tend use them v hard but they give a fair bit of dust when I do. Think it was an ebay jobbie, £80?

Standards. They are fine

I'll be going Mintex discs and pads this time around, as the carriers calipers set me back more than I would like to spend for this month.

When they're worn I might look at Brembo discs(?) and DS2500 pads, but I suspect I will be fine with the (much cheaper) Mintex set up. More just because I want to see what the fuss is all about!

Ferrodo DS2500 with groved discs of unknown origin

Plan on using ds2500 pads, not sure on discs..

Need to find somewhere that sells the pads at a decent price too!

EBC Green Stuff, And they're ****!

Second that.. They rubbish in my fiesta I had previous, and that was half the weight of the fabia. So would expect them to only be worse in a fabia!

I lied completely. I'm getting Brembo standard all round. The Mintex prices were ex VAT, and actually worked out more expensive than I can grab the Brembo's for (only by a couple of quid mind).

yeah i was looking at the ferrodos but have only found them on demon tweeks so far for nearly £150,

was also looking at the tarox strada ones awesome gti do

Tweeks are always over priced anyways, genuinely are brilliant pads though.. Well worth a scout about to find them cheaper

I'm using red stuff....not great to be honest.

mintex discs ds2500 pads....cant get better.

DS2500s were my favourite too. Still are really, no matter what the car.

Have a look on MotorSportWorld.

Tarox Strada at the moment.

But next time out, it'll be the DS2500's.

Used them before on another car and they were great.

Yeah, even when i ran Stradas on OEM 312 discs they were really good.

Have to say, this set seem very dusty compared to my last though, although that could be down to the grooves on the G88's, i may be wrong though.

This is roughly what everybody else saw on Sunday!

Yep, the G88s do have a known habit of 'eating' pads! 'Cheesegraters' I think they're nicknamed! I ran OEM discs and 2500s on the Hybrid and they worked very well. Never felt the need to change to 'fancy' (dimpled/grooved/J-hook) discs :)

Haha, still a little smokey is it? emoticon-0105-wink.gif

I use genuine audi pads and discs and they are perfectly fine never had fade at all.
