I have just ordered a Tomtom xl Live euro for my fabia 1 and I am keen to look at hard wiring it. I am aware it can be done, bu not sure how. Has anybody got any ideas on how this can be done? I have read about taking an ignition live from the fuse box; would this be the best option for a tidy install? I am looking to have the sat nav to the right of the steering wheel, so nicely placed for the fuse box....

Hi. I don't know where the fuse boxes on a fabia 1, but the Yeti has it at the end of the dashboard against the drivers door.

go for an "Active" Brodit Mount (if available for your tomtom)

i used to have on, and it's soo nice just to slide the tomtom on, and not have to connect the power lead. - My dad's still got on on the dash on his Transit for his tomtom one xl.
