My dinnertime blat

Featured Replies

Decided to take the Furby out to stretch its legs this dinnertime to take advantage of the sunny weather, and what an entertaining drive it was too. Darted straight out of town, to some nice private roads ;) first a nice set of twisties... nothing out of the ordinary there, then I hit my private 2 lane runway ;) blatted up the sliproad past these vans and a few cars, one of which looked like a 1.2 or 1.4 Clio who clearly didnt like me overtaking. So I got slowed down behind this van that pulled out into the fast lane and he was right up my chuff. So dropped it into 4th, and was slightly surprised that I didnt manage to start pulling away until I hit about 85  Eventually this red Golf that I had also overtook started bearing down on me, at this point I was doing about 95 and there was cars ahead of me in the slow lane, no time to pull in front so I let them past, Golf GTI with a red "I", presumably a 1.8T? So I let them past, pull in behind and drop a cog into 5th, they pull over and I start to accelerate towards them, took a good while to be able to match and eventually exceed their speed, but eventually I did... looked across when I was passing, and it was a very pretty girl driving, she gave me a nice smile :D so naturally I gave one back and continued to pass.... for the next few miles we had a bit of a play, overtaking one another, exchanging glances and smiles... before I turned off. That really cheered me up I have to say! :)

So if you are reading this, Mrs Golf GTI near Morpeth,:thumbup::thumbup:

you old tart you :D

as for the transit sticking to you, dont forget he would be in your "slip stream" and them transits are fairly quick.

I'd love to go for a blast at lunch time but buy the time I'd get to a good road my lunch would be over sometime ago

Ten years ago if you pulled out in front of a 'white van man' (could be a different colour too of course  ) you'd be safe knowing that even my Fiesta 1.2 could outperform it. These days they are VERY fast, and generally people driving those things are in a briskodian mindset hehe - so you gotta watch out. Most of those things have either a big petrol or a turbodiesel engine in them, so if they're not loaded up they fly :D

Always fun to find a like-minded lady, especially the good looking kind, to have a little play around with ;) ;)

Ahhh good lad!

Reminds me of the time me and a girl in a cupra r had a tussle...but she just eased away laughing at me :o

Had a nice little encounter with a girl in a Cooper S coming down Glen Ogle last week. She peeled off at Lochearnhead with a couple of flashes of her headlights.:thumbup:

SWMBO was in the car with me and was highly amused :cool:

Hehe, I dont think I made myself clear... it wasnt a transit up my chuff it was a Clio... I was originally behind the van... I didnt start to pull away from the Clio until I hit 85 and then away I pulled :D

The slipstream thing does explain a lot though now you come to mention it :)
