Advice needed

Featured Replies

Im currently cracking on with my project (fabia 1.4 16v)...

These are the mods im going to be going for;

- VRS Front Bumper

- VRS Spoiler

- VRS Alloys (or any other good suggestions) the alloys are going to be powder coated, the colour is remaining a surprise ;)

- Full Respray (Artic White)

- 6000k HID

Sound like a few simple mods but they are only visual, the performance has not been decided yet, and i am open to ideas

So if anyone can help me by pointing me in the right direction for any of the parts/mod ideas i would be gratefull

Thanks

Max

I did the performance, then a couple of "details", allways hankered after a vRS bodykit, but need the money for other stuff!! Look at the list of mods in my "signature" below! DO NOT CHANGE THE CATS FROM OEM!! Because my engine burns very clean (brill MOT sheet) if yours has the two lamber sensors like mine I had major problems with the engine emissions light comming on all the time with a "emissions below threshold" fault(it took 1000miles to start doing this, as the cat had to bed in)!!! So off came the expensive BM stainless 200cell cat and on went an OEM one and no more problem (short history)!!! Remus backbox bloody brill!! best you can buy! Use Vpower only etc.,etc.,etc. How much info do you want!!!????

Thanks for the help guys, ill let the cat out of the bag, im going arctic white car with a hint of blue in the paint, and thinking about getting the wheels powdercoated in a pastel/very light blue, what do you guys think? im open to opinions/alternative ideas

i know what you mean about the body kit, im tihnking just a front bumper, seen one on e-bay £100 so im going to go for that..

@fabdavrav if you dont mind me asking, what cat did you have? i was thinking sport cat, but now i may just get a back box...

just cant wait to have it all done in the summer..

BM Exhausts (British) 200cell stainless steel sport cat to replace 400cell ceramic cat that resides under the gearstick!(now back with OEM) The one that is OEM and built into the exhaust manifold is a 200cell S/S anyway from what I remember! Got to dash speak to you later

The 1.4 16v is quite tuneable

Lad over on club lupo has a 1.4 with 170bhp

Cammed throttle bodies 421 manifold and remapped

Wont be rapid in a fabia but will be half decent

170 :o that will be the day, im going to go for looks before performance for now, but im deffinately looking into performance aswell

If you have the bohemia sports seats the black ones and want to swap for a immaculate set of genuine VRS seats let me know!!

170BHP F**K ME!! :envy: Mind you I did enquire about a custom stage 2 map, but as mine has the Magnetti Marrelli ECU (which dosn't respond to well to chipping) I had been quoted around £600-£900!! all for about 10BHP!(How much did he spend for the thottle bodies, manifold, re-map, uprated clutch, gearbox???!!!) But after what I've done it is producing about 15-20 (max)bhp than it should do anyway (no rolling road proof, but what the Skoda mechanics who have driven it and other tunning companies figure I should be getting)

Edited by fabdavrav

its not going to be cheap

throttle bodies will be around 2-3k all in

421 mani is 800

cams are 700

not cheap lol!

im looking at supercharging my 1.6 lupo LOL
