I have recently bought a VRS & the alloys are bubbling up.

I suspect they are of a comparativly poor quality to have gone so early.

Those of you that have had them refurbed, does the finish last? Or is the alloy used a crap quality?

Had mine refurb'd a year ago and they are still like new. I think it all depends who you get to refurb them to be honest.

Thanks mate, that's encouraging, are you keeping the alloys immaculately clean?

Yes and No! Twice in the past year I removed them and gave them a good clean and wax on both sides. Rest of the year its the occasional wax on the front

Mine vrs is 4 years old and I noticed one of the alloys had slight bubbling already. I think if they have a decent acid dip, shot blasting, powder coating and lacquer they will last. Any alloy will corrode if it isn't coated properly.

Mine r fuked think it'll b easier to get new ones but bbs ch's r 1500quid :(
