Swapping Jumbo Box Armrest

Featured Replies

I picked up a leather-topped armrest the other week, to swap with my std Elegance fabric one.

Anyone had experience of removing/fitting/swapping them? The leather one has come with the full mechanism attached, but wondered whether it was possible to just slide off or remove the top?

Example picture (of the existing fabric one):

Cheers,

The armrest is missing from mine (been removed by previous owner) and been looking about for a leather one myself.

In regards to replacing yours without the cage the issue im guessing will be securing the rest to the frame (might be possible with the rear vent panel removed)

It isnt to bad a job to remove the centre console though to fit the armrest complete. Mine is not secured at the momment until i get my hands on one to replace (will have to check if the frame is still on mine actually).

How much did you pay for the leather rest if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks for the info. Just that I couldn't see an obvious way of removing the top from the rest of the mechanism.

Will drop you a PM about the details on mine.
