Edit 1 - Also notice the Main Highway is heading for Grimsby from Emden; currently in the middle of the North Sea. Appears to be quite a lot of activity between these two ports at the moment. Sheerness on the other hand appears quiet

Edit 2 - yes I've already started to monitor shipping movements even before the SM has been down the line

If there is any hold up is likely to be DVLA induced - a cherished plate transfer.

We are now starting your build week so hopefully you will not be far behind me. You may even beat me to collection day, unless you also have a plate transfer involved.

What a sad bunch we are monitoring shipping activity - guess its induced by our prolonged waits and ever changing build weeks.

No not for the SM but my wife has a cherished number on her car, however to save delays we went down the slightly more expensive retention route (£105 instead of £80 on last years figures), leaving the dealer to register in the normal way.

Yeah, I considered taking the retention route but being thrifty decided against it. Don't suppose a few days added means that much after the long

The Schelde Highway left Emden earlier today, the other one, Main Highway, set sail yesterday evening and should already have docked in Grimsby. Dealer said it's on the ship that departed Emden for Grimsby today, so I assume its the Schelde - perhaps my SM has arrived in the UK already as they do say, never assume.
