Hi All,

New to this forum, new to the Skoda experience, though was an active member of the Honda accord owners club for a few years until I changed cars. Have just acquired an 06 Octavia vRS petrol, bargain car that it is even if it drinks like a raging alcoholic. So far, the relationship is going very well indeed, apart from my stupidity with the factory roof bars - after fitting my bike carrier I forgot to lock the covers properly. They ahem became detached moments before take off this evening along a local D/C....hopefully I can get some replacements, and hopefully I wont be so stupid as to forget to lock them next time, and to try determine terminal velocity.
