Tyre Pressure sensor warning

Featured Replies

The warning sensor and ESP OFF are permanently illuminated despite the pressure being fine, and cannot remove the warning by pressing the pressure rest button. Only had the car 2 days, had neew tyres fitted prior to me collecting it - the dealer will look at it next weekend, but is it a common ish "fault" which I assume if a faulty sensor. Is it also normal for the ESP to become disabled when the pressures are low? Maybe I'm being stupid, but that doesn't seem sensible. Great car though, deeply impressed already.

The pressure warning is a ! in a the sign as in the sensor reset . press it till it bongs then it resets, I think you might mean the esp light is permanently on then it is the g201 fault code, teeves 60 abs sensor which is faulty . if you bought from a main dealer I would be wanting it done foc

Thanks for the info!

The ESP OFF switch was illuminated, pressing and holding the tyre pressure reset made no difference (no bonging). I was driving it rather briskly yesterday evening (when I lost part of the roof bars) and the warning lights both went out. This morning, neither warning lamp was lit, and the ESP OFF button is also now not illuminated. Whatever the problem is is now was. I suspect it will be back, the franchised dealer I bought it from will have the car at the weekend - I'm not too worried as it came with a full skoda approved used warranty, and faulty ABS doesnt cosntitute normal wear and tear to me; certinly not for a car that has covered 46k and has a full dsh.
